Winemaking
Late autumn harvest. After destemming, the grapes for this Zéta Szamorodni were all picked in the Holdvölgy vineyard. Then pressed and macerated for 24 hours. After pressing the lot fermented in stainless steel and then was racked into a barrel in our cellar where it aged for 24 months. It was bottled in spring 2016 since when it has been aging in the bottle.
Wine tasting
“It shows more mature notes in its colour as in the nose. A richly decorated character offering dark chocolate and spiciness. On tasting the wine is lively with well-ordered acidity and a very refined texture that provides the foundation for its flavour length. Defined acidity dominates to the end, the sweetness really keeps this in balance. A long wine with significant potentia.” (Gabriella Mészáros)
