Winemaking: We harvested the grapes at 23 Brix from vines planted in the 1950s with 1 kg/vine. The wine fermented and aged in barrels. Fermentation was followed by one month lees stirring.
Wine tasting: “Meszes vineyard is on the border between Olaszliszka and Szegilong. A plethora of garden herbs in the nose, mint slightly has the upper hand. Lively acids, tannins and subtle yeastiness in the mouth. Superb balance and incredibly rich in flavours. Develops slowly. This wine is on the sinewy side with restrained fruit. It clearly comes from a very mineral terroir. Vibrant and supremely long finish with subtle garden herbs familiar from the nose continuing.” (Gabriella Mészáros)
