We will stage the next 4th Great Tokaj Wine Auction on 23rd April 2016 and will be delighted if you can join us for this exciting event. Preparation is well underway and the list of wines to be offered will be released next week.
The Confrérie abroad
We have begun to explore various opportunities for the Confrérie abroad.
Our cooperation with 67 Pall Mall, an exclusive London wine club, is the most advanced. In October we informed the major Tokaj wineries of the tasting that will take place in Tokaj on Monday 25th January to select wines for 67 Pall Mall. We are fortunate that Ronn Wiegand MW, MS is organising this tasting of rare Tokaji wines for Grant Ashton, club founder, and Ronan Sayburn, MS and Head of Wine at 67 Pall Mall. We hope the result will be a fine selection in London of the best of contemporary Tokaj. We will keep you informed about developments.
New to the Confrérie
We would also like to keep you up-to-date about our two new colleagues. Rita and Gabriella will be assisting our work in 2016.
Rita Takaró

Rita is well-known in the Tokaj wine region. Between 2006 and 2012 she was the spokeswoman for Tokaj Renaissance. She has worked as manager of the Hungarian House of Wines, at BORIGO wine trade magazine/Sidewayz wine wholesaler and in recent years as a wine marketing consultant. In 2015 Rita returned to the Tokaj wine region as business development manager at Tokaj Crown Estates until the end of last year.
In the Confrérie she is responsible for:
· organisation of the Great Tokaj Wine Auction 2016
· effective internal and external communication
· contact with wine producers and Auction buyers, collecting potential buyers
· organisation of events in Hungary and abroad
· working under the supervision of the Board to achieve concrete goals

Velkey Gabriella

Gabriella worked as economics analyst for Budai Hengermalom, then at key Brau Union Hungária Zrt. in the key accounts of the sales department where as part of her job she was in contact with wholesale partners. In 2009 she moved to Tolcsva with her family and since 2014 she has managed the family winery.
In the Confrérie she is responsible for:
· members list and fees
· cash and the bank account
· accounting of invoices
· administration related to grants
· preparation of end of year accounts

Katherine Chapman immár 13 éve Tokaj-Hegyalját választotta otthonául, fő tevékenysége fordítás, lektorálás. Küldetésének érzi, hogy a tokaji borászatokat, helyi termelőket és szolgáltatókat közelebb hozza a nagyvilághoz.
