Winemaking: Szárhegy vineyard was first mentioned as a vineyard in 1329. The must was gently made from perfectly healthy bunches in a gravity flow process and fermented and is aging in 400-l first-fill Hungarian oak barrels.
Wine tasting:“This vineyard gives its typical unique range of flavours and balance, providing a beautiful base for this wine which is elegantly complemented by refined aromas of aging. A long, very mineral and rich wine, Furmint in all its glory. Part of the wine aged in stainless steel, part in barrel. Thus it has fresh primary aromas along with slightly more restrained, warmer tones in the flavours. The Furmint’s cinnamon-aniseed spiciness with pear-quince fruits can be discerned in the mouth. A serious minerality closes the sip.” (Gabriella Mészáros)
