Bardon pincészet

The Bardon family fled to Hungary from Paris during the French revolution. The last heir is the mother of the current owner whose historic and pleasant name we have inherited – ensuring our wines preserve the name Bardon for future generations. The Bardon winery was established in 2006 in what is perhaps the most romantic of the Tokaj Wine Region villages, Erdőbénye.

Currently we own 9 hectares of vineyards in Lapis-dűlő (Bodrogkeresztúr), Sarkad-dűlő (Mád) and Meszes-dűlő (Olaszliszka) where we continue to care for 100 year-old vines from which we create our divine “100 éves” wine.

In 2012 we completely renovated our winery, including a reductive and controlled-fermentation system. Thus we can make fresh and fruity wines alongside the traditional Tokaj barrel matured lots.
Complementing Tokaj tradition with modern technology, we strive to create high-quality wines with environmentally-friendly and sensible practices. This in turn assists the rise in prestige of the Tokaj Wine Region.
