Dorogi Brothers Winery (Dorogi Testvérek Pincészete) is a small, self-financed first-generation family estate founded in 1999. From half a hectare the family estate has since grown to seven hectares thanks to the constant reinvestment of profits.
Regarding sweet wines, the aim is to make balanced, fragrant wines with creamy texture where the variety and terroir support and complement each other’s strengths and appear in harmony in the bottle. The winery is a believer in absolute naturalness; wines ferment spontaneously in wood barrels.
Philosophy: To me Tokaj means the opportunity to learn constantly. I see winemaking as a continual learning in which I always gain new knowledge about people, the wine region, the varieties, my environment and my inner me. Tokaj educates me, assists in humility and openness. All new information contributes to my development and helps me find my place in the wine region and the wider world.
Naturalness and the complete presentation of the values hidden in the soils are vitally important in winemaking.
