Szent Benedek Pincészet Tokaji Édes Szamorodni 2012

Winemaking

A traditionally made Szamorodni. After careful selection the bunches containing botrytised berries were macerated in the press for 12 hours. After pressing the wine fermented and aged in the traditional Szerednyei (220-l) for 15 months.

Wine tasting

“This wine with its nose of a plethora of flowers and light summer fruits is far fresher and refreshing than its age would suggest. The barrel use could be said to be slight, so there is just a hint of barrel spice discernible in the aromas. It is defined and clean in flavours, direct. Rich in Botrytis, a refined wine with many nuances. Intelligent, extremely long and outstanding balance.” (Gabriella Mészáros)
