Winemaking
The Furmint aszú berries were carefully selected from three vineyards: Sajgó-dűlő in Bodrogkeresztúr, Várhegy in Bodrogkisfalud, Szárhegy in Sárazsadány. All three are historical vineyards in the wine region and have characterful, exceedingly mineral unique world of flavours. Vines have been growing in Várhegy since 1317, in Szárhegy since 1329. We macerated the aszú berries in fermenting must for 24 hours. After pressing and fermentation the wine is now aging in second-fill barrels of Hungarian oak.
Wine tasting
“Pale in colour, this wine’s aromas are very clean and distinct. Warm tone chamomile flower, honey and ripe fruit notes dominate. Silky texture in the mouth appear first and remain to the end. In spite of the softness, it has a defined structure and superb balance that support its greatness. Its acids are lively and the flavours richly bring the already familiar pear, apple and chamomile character. Long wine with serious potential.” (Gabriella Mészáros)
