Winemaking
We picked the grapes from a vineyard planted in the 1950s. Yield per vine was 1 kg. The lot fermented and aged in barrel. Fermentation was followed by one month of batonnage on fine lees.
Wine tasting
“Not totally clear yet in colour. Slightly opaque. Clean and quite intensive nose, sweetish, floral spiciness. It brings the character of spring meadows. The barrel can be slightly felt in the nose, primarily primary aromas present themselves. The presence of minimal residual sugar is perceptible in the mouth. Characterised by good balance and lightness of body. Rich fruitiness and refined barrel use complement the síp. Friendly, clean-flavoured Furmint that is very drinkable.” (Mészáros Gabriella)
