Winemaking
The grapes were grown in parcel 57 of the Úrágya vineyard. The ripe and healthy bunches were destemmed, then gently pressed by hand. The must fermented spontaneously with natural yeasts in Zemplén oak barrel.
Wine tasting
“Deep lemon colour, this is a wine with significant viscosity. In the nose the notes of mature character lead to minerality. Tobacco, wet leaves and salty-spicy character give most of the warm tones with the unmistakable Mád touch. On tasting the wine we feel big body with dynamic acids, superb balance. The barrel aging and the terroir presence with a slight astringency to the sip, make it slightly rugged. Unfaltering and serious wine with long aging potential” (Gabriella Mészáros)
