Winemaking: In Kővágó vineyard, Mád, we hand-picked healthy Furmint grapes in small 15-kg boxes and delivered them to our Tolcsva winery on 15th and 16th September. The grapes were immediately sorted and we pressed the whole bunch. After gentle pressing we settled the must for 24 hours. Fermentation and aging were in first-fill, medium-toasted, 136-l oak barrels, kept on fine lees.
Wine tasting:“This is a unique wine. The minerality of Kővágó vineyard arrives with green herb notes. Wonderful acidity, powerful structure, good balance. A serious, masculine character whose subtly elegant chervil and aniseed character make it attractive.
