Winemaking: Nyulászó is a particularly warm vineyard with a thick brown clay layer at the top and fewer surface rock fragments. In addition to the large quantity of zeolite, practically all the volcanic rocks typical of the South Zemplén can be found here. Thus its wines are more vibrating with a more intense fragrance than other terroirs. The vineyard contains mainly Furmint and Hárslevelű with a little Sárgamuskotály.

The winery made this with classic Szamorodni processes from small-bunch Furmint. Skin contact for 30 hours, gently pressed, then spontaneously fermented. High extract content due to the vintage, strong Botrytis presence. A total of just three Gönci barrels were made, from which we chose the best lot for the Auction.

Wine tasting: “Nyúlászó vineyard in Mád generally shows a friendlier side, though there have been some examples of more slowly maturing and developing wines. Its minerality is already astounding, the wine is rich in sugar too. Citrus nose built upon refined acid structure. Warm and charming tones offer a long and persistent finish.” (Gabriella Mészáros)
