Winemaking: The grapes were harvested from the sixty-year-old, narrow row vineyard in the upper part of an open southwest, west valley. The terroir gives distinctive characterful mineral wines. The winery works with low cordon cultivation and small-bunch Furmint. When totally ripe the bunches were selected for the wine. The free-run juice and first press must were blended to make this wine which had traditional fermentation and aging in barrel.

Wine tasting:Not everyone knows Szent Benedek wines, but they are making ever more exciting wines every year. The even less well-known Köveshegy vineyard is similar to the winery’s early dry Furmints from Szent Tamás vineyard. The wine is balanced with impeccable structure. Aromas telling of sweet spices and fruits. Elegant, long wine.” (Gabriella Mészáros)
