Winemaking: The grapes arrived to the family winery immediately before the autumn frosts in 2009. Immediate and quick fermentation followed 24 hours’ of skin contact. The wine went into the cellar in early 2010 where it rested without racking for five years (similar to Tinon’s dry Szamorodni presented at the first Auction). As with all the winery’s dry Szamorodnis, this wine was aged under a yeast veil.

Wine tasting:Many questions related to the various wine styles are hotly debated among Tokaj winemakers, but most agree that perhaps the most difficult style to make is a truly clean and distinctive dry Szamorodni. But it appears with this wine the producer had no problems. A real curiosity whose defined character, beautiful acidity and rich fruitiness provide the best base for the development of a serious Szamorodni. Already yeasty, its refined minerality and perceptible tannins close the sip. A serious wine.” (Gabriella Mészáros)
