Winemaking: The first Aszú presented by Samuel Tinon at the Great Tokaj Wine Auction. This lot is the only barrel of Aszú wine made by Tinon in 2011, so we can say the whole Aszú vintage is concentrated into this wine. Each aszú berry was picked individually and the Eszencia remained in the aszú berries, thus entering the wine. The aszú berries were soaked in finished dry wine for three weeks and, after pressing, the wine was moved to the Gönci barrel. Fermentation started in September 2013 and finished in the December. It was racked only once.

Wine tasting: “We are able to taste a very young Aszú from a hot vintage. Its youth expresses itself in rich fruitiness. Lively and fresh, mainly evoking citrus notes. On the palate the residual sugar suggests a much more serious character. Warm and soft tones embrace the wine’s backbone. Great potential with very long finish.” (Gabriella Mészáros)
