Vineyards: Borkút and Galambos dűlő (Mád, Mezőzombor), Terézia dűlő (Tarcal)
Planted: 1999-2002
Ground: brown earth on volcanic rhyolite tuff
Harvest: 16th Oct. – 24th Nov. 2006

Winemaking: In the warm, sunny autumn of 2006 aszú berries developed slowly. Although few in number, we harvested excellent quality aszú berries which had a delicious botrytis and distinct shrivelling. We selected this Tokaji Aszú 6 puttonyos from the most noble barrels of the vintage. A complex and harmonious nose of honey, spice, citrus and dried apricot which return in the palate. Dynamic acidity and oiliness in balance.

Tasting notes: “It is our conviction that what makes Tokaji Aszú unique is not so much the massive natural sweetness per se as the grape varieties and the terroir. This wine corroborates this theory with its lively and substantial acidity, polished tannins, and an extremely long aftertaste.” (Gabriella Mészáros)
