Founded in 2009, Basilicus cultivates its vineyards (10.5 ha) of old vines without chemicals. Flagship Furmint and Hárslevelű wines are made from the Mestervölgy and Hosszú vineyards in Tarcal and Lapis in Bodrogkeresztúr. Head winemaker, András Kanczler, uses traditional methods in the cellar.

The Basilicus Wine Culture Centre offers various packages from a couple of hours to several days, from tasting tours to wine courses and vineyard trips. It is also an event venue for team building, weddings and friends meeting.

Flagship Mestervölgy
The outstanding Mestervölgy vineyard is 250 metres high. Soils are nyirok clay and loess. They give elegant and balanced wines that were recently acclaimed by professionals at overseas events part of US wine writer, Joe Roberts’ Furmint USA project.
