Winemaking

We harvested grapes from our vineyards planted in the 1950s at 22 ° Brix. Yield of 1 kg/vine. The wine fermented in stainless steel, transferred in January to third-fill barrels.

Wine tasting

“This is not the first vintage from which we taste Furmint from Meszes-dűlő. Alongside its defined structure, it has an airy line that always practically stretches the whole length. Fermented in stainless steel, the lot is now resting in the barrel, which will beneficially round its rich acids. Its lightness and elegance can already be felt. Its structure gives a good framework for the subtle tannins and characteristic flower-herb flavours. Many garden herbs in the aromatics, with a slight mint-aniseed character ruling. Lively, long and substantial wine.” (Gabriella Mészáros)
