Winemaking: After the great success of the Dry Furmint Szent Tamás 2012, the very first wine sold at the very first Tokaj Wine Auction in April 2013, we continue our experience expressing Grand Cru Szent Tamás. This Dry Furmint is a photograph of Tokaj’s most famous terroir. 2015 was a very interesting vintage for dry wines. First, we thought that the wines would be short of acidity because of the lack of rain but actually the wines offer a nice acidity and a superb balance. For Samuel Tinon it was the perfect vintage to explore new terroirs. Five other growths representing the entire region will be soon be available.
The Furmint Szent Tamás 2015 vintage will be presented once again in a 136 litre barrel, that is 182 bottles of 75 cl with a glass stopper.

Wine tasting: “Intensive, clean aromas of this wine which is undoubtedly developing more quickly than dry wines of the same vintage. Rock and salty notes with an abundance of fruit. Good acids with refined tannins give the sip an expressly dynamic beginning. The structure is both lean and very distinct in character as befits the terroir. Its world of aromas is lively and intense, subtly spicy, playing in a peach-pear sphere. Long wine.” (Gabriella Mészáros)
