Winemaking: The largest Zéta vineyard in the wine region started to develop perfectly shrivelled and exceedingly rich aszú berries of extraordinary quality very early in the 2011 vintage. These Zéta aszú berries which were macerated in base Furmint wine have given a full-bodied yet wonderfully fresh and complex wine. In Disznókő history only one Zéta Aszú has been released: Hetedik 6 puttonyos Aszú 2002. This 2011 vintage will be bottled exclusively for presentation at the wine auction.

Tasting notes: “With a fresh fruit nose, this Aszú builds on the acid-alcohol axis rather than on sugar. The taste is long and magnificent with an oily texture and mineral flavours fading into a familiar herbaceous taste vaguely reminiscent of dill. The wine is full and elegant despite these cool flavours, and it has a long potential.” (Gabriella Mészáros)
